Also this year in the colonnade of Piazza Plebiscito 21 pianists will perform for the Piano City Napoli 2016!
Plan City Napoli 2016 part of the 13 October 2016 from Piazza Plebiscito to Naples. This is the fourth edition of the piano festival which will see 400 pianists perform in 200 events and 60 house concerts in the private living rooms of Neapolitan citizens who will open the doors of their homes and historical places. Among the most evocative appointments, the one involving the exhibition of 21 pianos in the colonnade of Piazza del Plebiscito.
The general program includes four musical events in which they will participate national and international famous artists and 100 students from the conservatories of southern Italy who will perform in various musical genres from rock to classical music, from pop to jazz.
Thursday 13 October will perform Patrizio Marrone, a Neapolitan composer, graduated in piano teaching harmony, escape, composition and counterpoint to the conservatory of Naples S. Pietro a Majella. Author of symphonic, instrumental, theatrical music, music for ballet and stage.
Concert of pianos in Piazza del Plebiscito
The performance of the pianists in the colonnade of Piazza del Plebiscito includes the performance of works by Mozart and Bach, with the conductor Mariano Piatti. The concert is titled "Reflections", conceived by Patrizio Marroni, here are the works that will play:
- WA Mozart: Lodron-Konzert, concert for 3 pianos and orchestra (reworking for 4 pianos)
- JS Bach: concert for 4 pianos and orchestra BWV 1065, youth orchestra D. Cimarosa of the Conservatory of Avellino, conductor: Mariano Patti
