50 Minutes to Capodimonte, free guided tours for 2015 Easter

During the holy week of Naples, the Capodimonte Museum will be the theater of exciting guided tours dedicated to the Passion

The Museum of Capodimonte continues to surprise the Neapolitans even at Easter with the initiative "50 Minutes to Capodimonte" that, since last 30 March until 4 April 2015, has as main theme of the free guided tours, the "Stories of the Passion".

During the holy Neapolitan week, therefore, visitors can discover the neo-restored Polyptych, alabaster masterpiece and inlaid wood, depicting scenes of the Passion of Christ.

A prestigious work this, exposed up to the early 800 at the church of San Giovanni a Carbonara and from which the typical workmanship of the English school of the time shines through. In review also many other masterpieces of art among which it stands out the Flagellation, signed by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, and initially designed to decorate the chapel of the De Franchis Family located in the church of San Domenico Maggiore.

"50 minutes to Capodimonte" represents one of the most popular city initiatives, registering numerous acclaim from the Neapolitan public during the visits dedicated to the Farnese collection and to the Appartamenti Reali.

And even in the Easter week, the treasures held at the prestigious museum complex are ready to amaze and fully engage visitors.
