Afghan refugees welcomed in Naples: they will all be vaccinated

The city of Naples is ready to welcome another 40 Afghan refugees fleeing the terrible situation now in place in their country and precisely they are citizens who fled from Kabul.

Our city has already welcomed 87 civilians in the Covid Residence of the Ospedale del Mare, of which a dozen turn out to be children. After a long journey from Afghanistan, they landed in Ciampino and then arrived in Campania by bus and, after a week of quarantine at the Ospedale del Mare, will be sorted to Sai reception centers throughout the Region.

For the most part it is about personnel who collaborated with the Italians in Afghanistan, people who have now fled with their families from a truly tragic situation.

The refugees will have the vaccine

Among the 87 refugees who arrived, only 1 tested positive for Covid, now in isolation, while the other swabs gave negative results. Of course also the other 40 refugees that will arrive will be subjected to the same checks by ASL Napoli 1. Furthermore, all refugees they will be vaccinated against Covid.

The solidarity of Campania

The first results of this reception are already evident in the smiles of children who received crayons and balloons to distract themselves and have fun.

They come from different parts of Campania solidarity proposals, as by the Community of Sant'Egidio. There are also many municipalities ready to welcome such as San Giorgio a Cremano. Recall that a few days ago a flashmob in favor of women's rights.

Very important gestures for also ensure greater integration to women, men and children who are in great difficulty, to give them a better future and raise awareness among people on such delicate and fundamental issues.
