The works of the Archaeological Museum of Naples land at Capodichino Airport!

A very interesting initiative will start the1 March 2017 with the collaboration between the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN) and Capodichino airport and it will concern the priceless works kept on the site of the historic center.

It is "Archaeological Airport“, A journey through the beauties of the complex, which land in Capodichino. Indeed, some reproductions of the Museum's masterpieces will be exhibited in room 1 and in other areas of the airport, so that the many tourists who disembark every day can admire this immense cultural heritage. It will also be a very important opportunity to promote the MANN and encourage as many people as possible to visit it. Ours is the most important archaeological site in the world and certainly deserves an increase in tourist turnout.

Works at the airport

As mentioned, it will be reproductions, but there will also be original finds.

In the Airside Room there will be a copy of the statue of Nike (in turn a copy of the first century AD of the Greek original of the fifth century, found in Olympia), found in 1893 during the demolition of the Church of Sant'Agata agli Orefici. In addition, works normally kept in the deposits and also will be exhibited reproductions of finds from the Ruins of Pompeii.

Finally, on the ledwall they will be transmitted video and advertising images to promote the Museum.
