The Capodimonte Museum will soon be subjected to important works of restructuring, the important news however is that the Museum's activities will not be interrupted.

There are no less than 46 million euros at stake, which will be used precisely at the start of the works entrusted to the company Engie Italy and with which a twenty-year contract for the maintenance of all electrical and technological works, which will be installed during these important works.

It will be a matter of long jobs, but in any case the director, Sylvain Bellenger was clear on the situation, namely ” the Capodimonte Museum it will never have to close even one day during the construction period”.

And so all the insiders have created a plan to guarantee visitors a visit to the museum in any case, with construction sites that will only affect small portions of the museum from time to time.

When, on the other hand, the halls remain closed, the works will still exist exhibited elsewhere in the city. Indeed, it is being evaluatedo Royal Palace and the Certosa di San Martino.

What are the works to which the Museum will be subjected

There are several works that will have to be carried out at the Capodimonte palace and that will start this spring. First, it will necessarily be necessary work on the roofs which are in bad shape and which over time have undergone works which have completely changed the ancient design.

We will also need to intervene on the system air conditioning, which will have to be suitable to maintain the microclimate necessary to preserve and preserve the beautiful works kept in the various rooms.

It will then be installed a lighting system of the covered areas and those of the entire park surrounding the museum connected to renewables and controlled via a bluetooth system. A project that aims to make the museum 90% autonomous in terms of energy production.
