Alessandro Preziosi will return to interpret the famous painter Vincent Van Gogh on the stage of the Mercadante Theater of Naples. Already presented during the Naples Theater Festival 2017, the show Vincent Van Gogh. The deafening smell of white, written by Stefano Massini, is scheduled from the 20 25 March 2018.
The artist is the protagonist of the story Van Gogh and his psychic state prey to hallucinations that flow from his mind and ai obsessive thoughts, due to his condition of imprisonment in the white room of the psychiatric hospital of Saint-Paul-de-Manson, in Provence, in the 1889, where the artist was imprisoned.
The news on these dark and dark years are told through the correspondence with the beloved brother Theo, which represents the starting point of this intense and engaging journey in Van Gogh's inner drama, that the viewer gets to live on their own skin. In this suffocating maze What is real and what is fiction? Whose or what do you trust?
The dramaturgy of Stefano Massini, artistic consultant of the Piccolo of Milan, investigates the motivations and feelings of this war that the Dutch artist lives against the world and against his own thoughts, which represent the walls of a prison from which to escape.
