At the Royal Palace of Naples Renzo Arbore will be the protagonist of an interactive exhibition made of music, movies and Neapolitan memories!

Since December 23 2017 to 1 May 2018 there will be al Royal Palace of Naples an exhibition dedicated to a versatile and beloved artist, a Neapolitan by adoption. We are talking about Renzo Arbore, on show among unpublished materials in the Dorica Room.

The title of the exhibition is significant: "Neapolitan Memories and Songs by Renzo Arbore and his tv shows and absolute uselessness ". In a'atmosphere of joy and lightness that distinguish the showman, the path celebrates the over fifty years of career. In fact, the motto chosen for the exhibition, in terms of joy, is "leave all sadness you who enter".

The inauguration of the exhibition coincides with the launch of the "Back All" television program, great success of the 80s by Arbore. Scabec, Campania Society of Cultural Heritage, organizes the event in collaboration with the museum complex and with the Campania Region.

The sections of the exhibition

Visitors will be actively involved in entertaining interactions and will be able to discover rare movies and famous songs. The thematic areas of the exhibition are television, music, cinema, radio, friends, collecting, travel, design and fashion.

But it is not just a classic exhibition, because visitors will live one a real show witnessing performances, music and interactions. In addition to video clips and music, sketches, behind-the-scenes videos, there will also be Arbore's props such as glasses, bags, costume jewelery, cult items, hats, vests, ties and many contributions from colleagues.

A section is dedicated particularly to the Neapolitan music with 100 songs among Arbore's favorites and donated by the Sound Archive of the Neapolitan Song.

The project is part of the sound archive of the Neapolitan song and aims to enhance the latter in the world. Friday December 22 there will be a free preview of the exhibition.

Guided tours taken by children

Thanks to young people of "Sing, play and walk" and their teachers, special guided tours will be organized for Renzo Arbore's exhibition every Saturday and Sunday from 13 January to 1 May 2018 at 11.30 and 17.00.
This is a section of the “Music in sacred places” project which aims to carry out initiatives, especially musical, for the youngest and to create a path of social growth for them.
