The Blow up. Photography in Naples 1980-1990 retraces the photographic culture in Naples in the XNUMXs

The exhibition is extended until 16 February 2015.

For all of us lovers of true photographic culture, however, for more than two months it will be possible to visit the Villa Pignatelli, the Blow up exhibition. Photography in Naples 1980-1990.

They will be exhibited 140 fotografie which highlight the important role of the city of Naples in the 80s in contributing to the development of photography as a means of telling stories, through an image which embodies an unrepeatable expression, emotion and moment.

Visitors will retrace the Eighties in two parallel paths. The first shooting the early 80s, when innovative international photographers were invited to Naples who represented the city from the urban point of view that was the historical fulcrum. The second path will illustrate the photos of international artists such as Clegg & Guttmann, Ruff, Sherman and the Neapolitan ones.

Finally, the artistic memory marries the technological modernity of photography along the way virtual Constellation '80 , where, thanks to multimedia stations, are virtually connected collections, exhibitions and museum sections, creating a complete archive of contemporary art in Naples.
