The pianist Brad Mehldau in a piano solo concert at the Bellini Theater in Naples between classic jazz and historical rock hits!
Monday 7 March 2016 the known jazz pianist Brad Mehldau he will perform at Teatro Bellini di Napoli with its 10 Years Solo Live.
The name given to the tour resumes the title of his collection of piano pieces performed over a period of 10 years in numerous cities in Europe. Performances then grouped into CDs and vinyls that show us his exceptional skill as a pianist, jazz player, performer and interpreter.
As the name suggests, it is about interpretations by floor only which also include the compositions that Brad Mehldau interpreted with his historical training, the Brad Mehldau Trio. Founded in the 1994, the Trio immediately conquered a prominent place in the international jazz music scene, establishing itself with albums that have now entered the history of music. These are the 5 unforgettable albums "The Art of the Trio", published from 1996 to 2001, to which a sixth volume was subsequently added.
The concert at the Bellini Theater will focus on classical jazz performances that are delicate incursions into rock music with interpretations of historical pieces of bands like i Beatles or Radiohead, passing through the unforgettable compositions by Gershwin.
The American pianist, despite the intense artistic activity linked to his Trio, has also collaborated with numerous other artists including Pat Metheny, Michael Brecker, John Scofield, Peter Bernstein, Charlie Haden and will give us an intense and exciting evening in the name of his incomparable jazz.
