[adsense]

The Yalla cultural mediation service, which deals with the problem of immigration in the Campania region, has banned an interesting one free poetry contest entitled Yalla! Intercultural verses.

The aim of the competition is the story, through the literary form of poetry, of meeting with the other, in a regional reality, that of the Campania, increasingly multi-ethnic and intercultural, where sometimes it becomes difficult to integrate into society or to relate foreign.

Participants can be both Italian and foreign citizens residing in Campania, which will be part of the Senior Section, while the second level educational institutions located in the Campania Region will compete in the Junior Section. They will have to try their hand at writing one only poetic composition, written in Italian or in a foreign language. In the latter case, the poem must have an Italian translation opposite. The metrics and length of the lines are free, but the poems must be unpublished and original and must be sent to the Yalla Center in Naples by March 20th 2015.
The first three classified will be awarded with license plates and IT products.

There are those who believe that poetry is a disused genre, but this is not the case. It is the direct experience of emotions, which can be felt but not explained. As the poet Alda Merini wrote, "The house of poetry will never have doors".
