Open cellars in Campania 2019: the program of visits

Open cellars 2019: in Campania the wine festival is renewed with the edition number 27.

On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May 2019, the appointment with Cantine Aperte will also be renewed in Campania , an event organised by the Movimento Turismo del Vino which this year reaches its twenty-seventh edition.

It is a wine festival that since 1993 sees some selected wineries in the Campania region open their doors to enthusiasts. Visitors are given the opportunity to taste the wines and buy them on the farm, as well as to access the cellars to try to understand the secrets and techniques of the ancient art of making wine.
The event is aimed at people, groups or individuals, working with wine (for example, wine bars and restaurateurs) or simply love it and want to be aware of everything at close quarters around a beautiful glass of red or white.

The program

A total of 17 Campania wineries are participating in the event. Here are just a few; the complete list can be found on the Movimento Turismo del Vino website.

The Mastroberardino Cellars in Atripalda are open on Saturday, May 25th, with a full morning dedicated to tours and tastings. Arrival at 10:00 a.m. A welcome with coffee and a guided tour of the cellars and the Mastroberardino Atripalda Company Museum (opened May 15th). In the province of Caserta, the event is at Villa Matilde Avellone , in Cellole, on Saturday the 25th: a sensory tasting in the Garden of Eden. Villa Matilde offers a unique pairing of Falerno del Massico, Rumba, and Tango. Starts at 4:00 PM. Price per person: €35. Reservations required: 082 3932088.

Also on Saturday the 25th, another event will be held at Tenuta Cavalier Pepe in Sant'Angelo all'Esca, in the province of Avellino. The program includes events starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 8:00 PM. A guided tour of the vineyards and winery is also available.

Then, on Sunday, May 26th, the La Guardiense winery (Guardia Sanframondi, Benevento) will open its doors to invite the curious and wine enthusiasts to discover its wines. Guided tours and tastings begin at 10:00 a.m. Aperitifs begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Sannio winery's showroom. Lunch is served at 12:30 p.m. Reservations are required: 345 7157498 or 08 24864034.
