New Year 2021 in Naples: no fireworks at the Castel dell'Ovo
For the New Year 2021 the fireworks will not be fired at the Castel dell'Ovo: the funds will go to charity initiatives.
The mayor of Naples Luigi De Magistris announced that this year there will be no fireworks at the Castel dell'Ovo for New Year 2021.
It is a choice dictated by need for sobriety and the need for solidarity due to this period of emergency caused by the Coronavirus.
I money which are normally intended for Christmas activities, as well as funds for fireworks, will be donated to charity and solidarity initiatives.
Indeed, too the lights will not be installed in Naples because economic resources will be more useful for anti-Covid and charitable projects. The markets are still in question, but it all depends on if and when Campania will enter the yellow zone.
Recall, however, that a large Christmas tree in Piazza Plebiscito ed another is present in Piazza Bovio.
