Chinese New Year 2016 at Palazzo Caracciolo in Naples with tea ceremony and typical dinner

The Chinese New Year 2016 in Napli will be celebrated at Palazzo Caracciolo with the traditional tea ceremony and dinner.

Chinese New Year is one of the holidays celebrated in Naples thanks to the presence of the Chinese community and institutions. This year, the holiday culminates on February 26, 2016 , and the celebrations will take place at Palazzo Caracciolo.

Naples is one of the 4 Cities of Taste that will kick off the celebrations, together with Rome, Milan and Turin, and everything will begin at 19.00 pm in the sumptuous and evocative portico of the elegant Palazzo Caracciolo, as mentioned.

From 19.30 you can participate in the traditional tea ceremony, much felt in China and a moment of meditation and conviviality. It will be initiated by Dr. Sun Yiling of the Confucius Institute of the Oriental Institute of Naples with a ritual of concentration and grace for free the mind and open the heart to those close to us.
In addition, tea is a drink that is offered for good luck and to welcome, ideal for a holiday, that of the New Year, considered to be well-being, especially for the family.

After the ceremony, the focus will be on Chinese cuisine , with its typical products and symbolism . We will also explore how this type of cuisine can complement Italian cuisine through a cooking demonstration with chefs from Città del Gusto Napoli, Nicola Miele and Fabrizio Pugliese. The wines will be paired with wines selected by experts from the Gambero Rosso Academy.
