The island of Capri in Campania is Covid-free after the completion of vaccines for the resident population!

The President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca announced that theCapri island is Covid-free since it was vaccination of residents completed. It is the second Campania island after Procida, also Covid-free.

The Governor announced it to reporters during a public meeting on the island, communicating that this is a very important goal, especially for the recovery of the tourism sector. Indeed, now tour operators can plan the summer season with more tranquility to welcome tourists. The vaccines were administered in the hubs at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Capri and at the Centro Paradiso in Anacapri.

The next island that will soon be Ischia where there are two vaccination hubs working at full capacity and where 1800 people will be vaccinated a day. In this way, vaccinations should be concluded at the end of May. Subsequently, President De Luca declared, it will also be the turn of Sorrento and Cilento.
