From 29 August 2022 theentrance to the Castel dell'Ovo has become free and free for anyone. In fact, access has always been free, with the exception of access to the frequently held temporary exhibitions in the beautiful building, but until recently it was necessary to book in order to enter.
Instead, for a few days, Reservation is no longer required through the electronic registration on the website of the Municipality of Naples and anyone can enter freely.

What to visit at the Castel dell'Ovo
It is the oldest castle in Naples and is located on theislet of Megaride, on the Lungomare, where according to one of the legends landed the siren Partenope who gave the name to the first nucleus of the city.
Crossing the Normandy tower you arrive at the road that leads inside and, after the tower, you will find the Church of San Salvatore.
On the top there is the famous terrace of the Cannons from which you can admire a beautiful view of the Gulf and the city.
The internal rooms of the Castle are generally used for events, demonstrations and conferences. One of the most beautiful rooms is that of Columns, but there are also there Prison Room, the Sala Italia, the Sirena room and the Sala Compagna.
