Among the most visited places of Napoli we find without a doubt the legendary Castel dell'Ovo. The historic monument had already undergone one stop in 2022 because of some works that they tried to secure the entrance, in fact, a collapse of some stones from the entrance portal had occurred.
Apparently, though, the emergency works were not enough and after about a year the Municipality of Naples announces a new closure.
Unfortunately, times have not been estimated of maintenance, therefore we do not have one reopening date to the public. At the moment it seems to continue only and exclusively the event dedicated to electric mobility until 12 March, all others should be stopped.
Large-scale renovations
The works of renovation on a large scale that will be carried out are needed for security reasons and they could last, perhaps, a long time. No further information on the details of the works or the expected reopening date was provided.
Importantly, i jobs of restructuring are essential is preferably used for storage of the Castel dell'Ovo, an important symbol of the city of Naples as well as tourist destination much loved that represents an important part of the cultural heritage of the city.
Waiting for new information on the timing and details of the renovation works, tourists and residents of Naples will have to be satisfied with admiring the Castel dell'Ovo only from the outside, in the hope of soon being able to visit the inside of this important symbol of the Neapolitan city.
