Christmas in Naples, thanks to the Department of Culture, includes online concerts and theatrical performances and beautiful light installations!
As we all know, this is a very delicate and emergency period, even in Naples, but culture does not stop there, on the contrary it tries to resist the crisis with all its strength to give citizens moments of joy and hope even at Christmas and to contribute to the rebirth of the art sector.
For this reason, Christmas in Naples will be special thanks to a beautiful initiative of the Department of Culture and Tourism with the project "Christmas in Naples 2020: music, theater, dance and light installations to resist with culture".
It includes a rich schedule of online events, as happened for the first quarantine in March, divided into three major projects of music, ed light installations.

Naples still plays
In a project with Arealive, the initiative provides for theperformance of over 100 musicians who will compete in many musical genres. From trap to rock, from jazz to pop and classical music, artists will play and sing at concerts that will be broadcast online. The locations involved, always in compliance with anti-Covid regulations, are the PAN and Maschio Angioino.
The artists involved, among others, are A67, Ars Nova, Flo, Francesco Di Bella, Foja, Lettieri, Gianni Lamagna, M'Barka Ben Taleb, Gnut, Maldestro, La Maschera, Zurzolo, Mimmo Maglionico & Pietrarsa.

The project "ecosystem of arts and theater" was born from the idea and the need to consider art and culture as a beating heart of our country system. These are therefore fundamental services, as also recognized by law 175 of 2017; theirs, therefore, is an ethical, moral and economic value.
That's why the small theaters will be the small theaters are the protagonists Airots napoli Na, Il Pozzo e il Pendolo, New Sanità Theater, North Area Theater, Teatro dei Piccoli, Elicantropo Theater, Nest Theater, Sancarluccio Theater, Serra Theater, Tram Theater, Trois Theater. Lights on the city
Unfortunately this year the usual Christmas lights will not be lit., but there will be special light installations in symbolic places of the city. The aim is to send a message of hope for the present and the future. In many districts there will be these beautiful installations such as in Miano, in Ponticelli, on the Maschio Angioino, at the Sanità and other places.
The first symbol to light up is the Maschio Angioino on December 23rd: the text of a song much loved by Neapolitans will be screened. Then, one after the other, it will be the turn of the other places: Ponticelli, la Health, Palazzo Fuga in piazza Carlo III, Barra, Fuorigrotta, Filangieri Museum, Plain, San Pietro a Patierno, Piscinola, Galleria Umberto I, Marianella, Miano, Vomero, the Colonnade of Piazza Plebiscito.
