Free outdoor cinema in the Bosco di Capodimonte in Naples in July 2019
Cinema painters, free and open-air cinema at the Capodimonte Wood in Naples, an exciting journey from Antonioni to Fellini.
Al Wood of Capodimonte, edited by Maria Tamajo Contarini, from Tuesday 23 to Sunday 28 July 2019 the lawns in front of the Fagianeria they will be transformed into a large summer area equipped with deckchairs, director's chairs and mats.
The theme of the cycle of outdoor screenings that takes place there again this year is "Cinema painters": These are six films dedicated to directors who are or have also been artists in other fields of the visual arts and who have brought their figurative (or even non-figurative) sensitivity to the film set.
The journey starts from Michelangelo Antonioni and ends with Federico Fellini, passing through David Lynch, Peter Greenaway, We Anderson and Alfonso Cuaron.
The screenings will start at 21.
Each film will be preceded by a short short film on the artistic avant-garde of the '20 and 30 years of the last century.
