The Comicon Off 2017 includes a series of events and exhibitions in various locations in Naples dedicated to the world of comics and the web.
From 28 April to 1 May 2017 there will be in Naples the Comicon, but will always be joined by the Comicon Off, a series of collateral events that will take place from the 27 March to the 31 June in different locations in the city.
As in recent years, the main event of the Comicon will be held inside the Mostra d'Oltremare, while many of the secondary events that have been organized for the occasion will take place in other places in Naples, such as the headquarters of the Goethe Institute,French institute and MAV (Virtual Archaeological Museum) of Herculaneum.
In addition, some events will also be present at the Cervantes Institute for the Spanish language and at the Eastern University of Naples. Here are the first scheduled appointments, which we will update as they are communicated.
Comicon Off program
Conversations with MAX - MAV of Herculaneum
From 28 April to 31 May 2017, at the MAV in Herculaneum will be presented "Conversations with MAX ", of the tables of the famous Spanish cartoonist Francesc Capdevila, known as Max. The event is in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes de Nápoles, the Oriental University Institute of Naples and the Instituto de Estudios Baleáricos Palma de Mallorca: Max has been working for years '70 between illustration, comics and drawings and has created famous characters such as Peter Pank and Gustavo.
The exhibition will be an interactive and virtual path based on the tables taken from Conversations of shadows in the Villa dei Papiri, which is inspired by some texts by Epicurus.

Katharina Greve exhibition - Goethe Institut
From March 27 to June 30 2017, at the Goethe Institut there will be an exhibition dedicated to the German author Katharina Greve and her web comic “Das Hochhaus” (The skyscraper). The works he made in the 2000s before the great success with the web comic Das Hochhaus will also be exhibited. This new work, on the other hand, which is constantly evolving, “grows with a new plan” every week, so every time a table is published in which the author focuses on political, social and interpersonal themes. In the other comics you will notice how she makes fun of her training as an architect.

Tribute to Boulet - Institut Francais
At the Institut Francais there will be the event “Homage to Boulet”, an exhibition on French blogger Gilles Roussel, in the Noir et Blanc room. The author has become very famous on the web, for his activity as a blogger and cartoonist, and at the exhibition you can admire his funny cartoons. Sometimes they are also scary and personal stories, but also irreverent and surreal episodes.
