Two unmissable evening guided tours to the thermal complex of Santa Chiara with dinner inspired by Ancient Rome
You would like to spend an evening in the Naples of the Roman age and taste a typical dinner of the time? If the idea appeals to you, you can not miss the event Meminisse Remembering Neapolis, which includes two guided evening tours on Saturday 16 May and Friday 22 May 2015.
The tour will take place in the spa area of the complex and in the archaeological area of the Franciscan Opera Museum, which can be accessed from the Cloister, followed by a dinner based on Roman recipes created and revisited by Personal Chef Cecilia Squillace.
The Roman menu and the music
The particular menu will be divided in Gustatio, First table e Last but not least.
Among the dishes you can taste ancient Roman dishes such as the libum (goat cheese bread), herbal tea (spinach and chickpea soup), Oplontis cassata, merum wine , rocket drink.

To create a special atmosphere, there will also be a musical background with harp and violin of the Masters Angela Catapano and Maria D'Alessio.
The guided tour
The guided tour, on the other hand, includes a stop in the Hall of History, where it is possible to retrace the history of the Santa Chiara complex and another one in the Hall of Marbles, which houses marble statues and decorations of the Church. Finally, we will visit the Hall of Reliquaries, where sacred vestments and wooden portareliquiaries are kept.
The event will take place, as mentioned the 16 and the 22 May, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the opening of the Museum of the Franciscan Opera inside the Monumental Complex of Santa Chiara in Naples.
