Peppe Barra and Francesco di Bella will perform a free concert at Piazza del Gesù!
On 10 June 2016 the artist Peppe Barra will perform in a free concert at piazza del Gesù organized on the occasion of "Happy Birthday Federico II" event, the annual event conceived by the Federico II University of Naples to celebrate the anniversary of its foundation (June 5, 1224).
The evening will be a great theatrical and musical event in which the Neapolitan actor and singer will pay homage to the 40 years of the "Gatta Cinderella“, The work of Roberto De Simone in which popular music (villanelle, Moorish, tammurriate) and cultured music coexist, with a text in the Neapolitan language.
The protagonist is the city of Naples, city stepdaughter, victim of blinding power and foreign occupiers. Accompanying the actor will be Paolo Del Vecchio on guitar-mandolin, Luca Urciuolo on piano-accordion, Ivan Lacagnina on percussion, Sasà Pelosi on bass, Giorgio Mellone on cello, Alessandro De Carolis on flutes.
In addition to Peppe Barra, Francesco di Bella will also perform Francesco di Bella, former leader of 24 Grana.
