In the Cathedral of Naples will take place the traditional free Christmas concert with the Cantori of Posillipo that will combine jazz music and Latin mass.
La evening of 25 December 2017 there will be, in the Cathedral of Naples, traditional Christmas concert interpreted by Cantori di Posillipo. This is an event with free admission subject to availability with a program that will propose "A Little Jazz Mazz”Composed by Bob Chilcott in 2004 for the Crescent City Choral Festival in New Orleans.
It will essentially be a special Mass that combines two traditions very far from each other, latin mass and jazz, making them similar and very pleasant to follow. Christmas melodies and songs will be played traditional songs, but reworked for the choir and for the Orchestra directed by Ciro Visco, artistic director of the Musical Association, which also includes Gaetano Raiola.
After the concert, theAve Maria by the Neapolitan composer Raffaele Cimmaruta and the solo voice that will interpret it will be the soprano Clarissa Costanzo. To direct this beautiful performance, Gaetano Raiola. The event is part of the program of Christmas events in the city.
