In October, China meets Naples in the Casina Pompeiana: a day dedicated to Chinese culture
Il Confucius Day 2019 will be a free event organized the 5 October of Casina Pompeiana of the Villa Comunale of Naples from 11: 00 to 13: 30.
The event is organized byConfucius Institute of the Eastern University of Naples in collaboration with the Municipality of Naples, which has made the Casina Pompeiana available to the initiative, in the heart of the Chiaia Riviera.
Among the many activities that will be carried out during Confucius Day traditional calligraphy and painting workshops laboratories of origami and shibari.
It will also be possible to attend various events performances of music, songs and traditional dances performed by various groups of Chinese artists.
The celebration of Confucius Day takes place simultaneously all over the world and falls close to theanniversary of the birth of Confucius, the most famous master of the history of China.
The link between China and the City of Naples is very ancient: the Eastern University of Naples hosts the oldest Chinese school in Europe and, moreover, the Chinese community that lives in the Neapolitan capital has always been large, active and well integrated with the Neapolitan people: Confucius Day 2019 will be an opportunity to celebrate and strengthen this bond.
