After the huge participation in a funeral procession in Saviano, the Region has the red zone in the municipality. The Circumvesuviana station is closed.
In full emergency Coronavirus, following improper behavior by numerous citizens in the municipality of Saviano (in the province of Naples) is the red zone has been activated, while in Paolisi (in the province of Benevento) has been extended the existing one. The Campania Region has issued two ordinances, for this reason, and the red area of Saviano will be valid until April 25th.
This is due to the fact that, in this municipality, approx 200 people attended the mayor's funeral procession, in contravention of all the provisions that prohibit gatherings and exits for no necessary reason.
Consequently, the service of EAV vehicles serving those areas has also varied.
The red areas and restrictions
In the two municipalities, the restrictions state that:
- it is forbidden to leave the municipal area;
- access to the municipal area is prohibited;
- the activities of public offices, without prejudice to the provision of essential and public utility services, are suspended.
Specifically, for Saviano, during this period we will try to trace the people who attended the procession both to arrive at individual preventive health measures and to commission the penalties provided for by law.
Circumvesuviana: Saviano station closed
In view of the quarantine of the whole municipality, until April 25 the station of Saviano della Circumvesuviana stay closed. So, the trains of the Naples - Nola - Baiano line they do not carry out the passenger service. Similarly, the Nola - Castellammare car line does not pass through Saviano.
