Several places in Pozzuoli closed, including Lungomare, Lago d'Averno and Darsena, due to the emergency from Covid-19.

Il mayor of Pozzuoli Vincenzo Figliolia communicated the decision of close the Lungomare Pertini and other areas of the municipality due to the health emergency due to Covid-19.

In Pozzuoli the cases of contagion are increasing faster and faster and it is necessary to take these safety measures. Therefore, from 7 to 16 November 2020 they will be closed to the public:

  • the Pertini seafront promenade
  • the pedestrian section that surrounds Lake Averno
  • the dock
  • the villa of Lucrino adjacent to the municipal swimming pool
  • centers for the elderly and all public and private sports facilities with the exception of those used for professional, semi-professional and amateur activities at national level
  • the municipal offices

There are also variations regarding the parking hours:

  • the areas of Molo Caligoliano and the Wholesale Fish Market will close every day at 20:30, except Sundays at 18:30
  • the Multi-storey will remain open every day from 12 to 18:30.

The purpose, of course, is to protect the health of citizens, evaluating whether these measures will be able to decrease infections.
