Change the duration of the quarantine which drops to 10 days for those who are positive for Coronavirus in Italy. Here are all the news.

Il Scientific Technical Committee (CTS) has redefined terms for quarantine and fiduciary isolation in cases where it is positive the Covid-19, with differences depending on whether you are symptomatic and asymptomatic.

The CTS, following the international guidelines and always according to the principle of utmost caution, considered it appropriate to update the timing and therefore the number of days in which to remain in quarantine before being able to return, healed, to carry out their activities outside.

Furthermore, it reaffirms the need andimportance of the intervention of general practitioners and pediatricians in ensuring that coronavirus swabs are carried out.

The new quarantine periods

Asymptomatic positives

If you are diagnosed with positivity and are asymptomatic, the isolation period is 10 days + single molecular buffer at the end of the quarantine.

Symptomatic positives

Test positives that are symptomatic are bound to at least 10 days quarantine (of which the last 3 must be in complete absence of symptoms) + single molecular buffer at the end of the quarantine.

Asymptomatic positives that do not become negative after 21 days

In these cases, the quarantine is at least 21 days, with positive results in the molecular test carried out on the 10th and 17th day (in asymptomatic cases, the isolation is interrupted in any case on the 21st day as the available evidence does not document any case of the presence of a virus competent for replication).

Close contacts

For close contacts, the insulation is 10 days + rapid or molecular antigenic buffer.
