CTP in Naples, 22 million from the region arrive to save the transport company

THECTP company of Naples, that is the Public Transport Company, has been in crisis for many months and since February of this year it has been declared so state of insolvency with the appointment of a judicial commissioner for the provisional administration by the bankruptcy court.

Now, however, there is an important turning point in this dramatic situation for Neapolitan public transport and it concerns the approval of two resolutions by the regional council for resolution of that crisis.

It seems that the CTP can breathe a sigh of relief because with these two resolutions:

  • will be invested more than 22 million euro to buy new buses to guarantee the service;
  • and procedures to facilitate the assumptions by the regional companies AIR (Autoservizi Irpini) and EAV (Ente Autonomo Volturno).

The commitment to guarantee the transport service

A great commitment by the Campania Region for both protect the hundreds of CTP workers for both guarantee the public transport service in the north of Naples which has been working very badly for too many years.

With the bankruptcy of the company, then, the situation had only worsened, of course.

The procedures for the absorption of workers in the EAV and AIR companies respecting the industrial plan, in a historical moment in which these two regional companies are also having great difficulties due to the increase in the cost of fuel.
