The Gran Caffè La Caffettiera in Naples presents the Cuccuma Week, a week of coffee events!

From April 3 to 8, 2017, the Gran Caffè La Caffettiera in Piazza dei Martiri in Naples will host " Cuccuma Week " for the second year. This series of events focuses on coffee: its origins, its use in cooking and making drinks, and its ability to bring together friends, loved ones, and even introduce new people.

A week dedicated to the cuccuma , the historic tin or coffee pot invented in 1819 by the Parisian Morize and used in Italy until it was replaced by the espresso moka pot in the 1950s. At Gran Caffè La Caffettiera, Neapolitan entrepreneur Guglielmo Campajola has cultivated his passion for coffee over the years, preparing it with care, devotion, and respect for tradition. For this reason, he has decided to dedicate six days to the cuccuma.

You'll be able to witness the ritual of making coffee , just as our grandparents used to, breathe in that unique aroma that so often brings back childhood memories, and finally delight in that more intense flavor than espresso made with a moka pot. The Cuccuma Week program includes several events taking place in the afternoon, starting at 17:30 PM, with no reservations required. Let's take a look at the schedule in detail.
