The President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca he again expressed himself about the use of the mask andincrease in infections from Covid in our region.

In the period of Easter, you know, the people will get together a lot more than usual to celebrate this anniversary with family or friends and especially on Easter Monday, several gatherings are expected around.

De Luca said he was very worried about this and declares that citizens should also worry more because i infections are thousands and the pandemic is not over. There is a risk of having a new surge of positive people after the holidays and, despite the intensive care units are not very busy, the ordinary wards are, taking away space for those with other diseases.

It is essential to use the mask

The President recalled that throughout Italy, therefore also in Campania, in particular in the metropolitan area, theuse of a mask is mandatory and that you need to be very careful these days. The population density is such that it would be normal for prudence to wear it.

It is a small sacrifice, especially when it comes to nightlife, but it is precious to avoid contagion.

De Luca, in his latest statements, provocatively said of remove it only to eat the pastiera.

Here are his words on the mask:

Remove it when you eat the pastiera, knowing we have it thousands of infections, I have to do the slalom because there are hundreds of positives around us. The important thing is that we have fewer hospitalizations, the important thing is that those who are infected hold up in an acceptable way but we begin to have problems in the ordinary wards, because few are in intensive care and in ordinary we do not go down in numbers. This complicates care for non-covid patients.
So I repeat: let's keep the mask, if you have nightlife put it on, I tell boys and girls, when you enter and leave school use the mask, it is a small sacrifice to avoid contagion.
