The mayor Luigi de Magistris is dissatisfied with the Relaunch Decree and fears the suspension of some services in Naples, such as buses and waste collection.

Following theRelease of the Raising Decree by the Government, the mayor of Naples Luigi de Magistris did not appear enthusiastic for the measures taken and the figures allocated.

According to our first citizen, from what we read about Repubblica, the situation will only get worse, also for our city, and the Municipality will be forced to suspend some services.

The problem, according to de Magistris, is that there are no more entries and, although we will try to do everything to face the emergency, the future is not viewed with optimism.

Transport, waste and protection of greenery: services in crisis

The Mayor wonders how it will be possible to continue providing services such as buses, waste collection and the protection of public parks “if the Government has chosen to abandon Italy's recovery". Masks and gloves are also missing and there are not enough funds to provide.

The actions taken so far have not proven adequate because there is a need for structural actions after two months of crisis and not of "political-institutional alms".

Relaunch Decree: inadequate for recovery

Also according to de Magistris, the 55 billion euro figure envisaged by the Relaunch Decree cannot lay the foundations for a restart of Italy because resources should be distributed differently. Cite the example of school where he says: “I have rarely seen an inadequacy of this magnitude. Does it seem normal to you that a government has already given up in five months? ".

In short, according to the mayor's opinion, it is necessary to move in a completely different way.
