Changes, bans and suspensions of the temporary traffic device in Naples for 2019 New Year's events.

On the day of 31 December 2018 in Naples a particular is expected temporary traffic device to allow the smooth running of the eTwenty scheduled to celebrate the 2019 New Year.

In fact, already from the afternoon of the last day of the year there will be some prohibitions and changes to circulation in the downtown area to ensure that the concert in Piazza Plebiscito and the disco on the Lungomare. Between the two events, there will also be i fireworks at the Castel dell'Ovo.

This is why it is necessary to establish a traffic device that also includes the suspension of the cycle path, changes in the direction of travel and transit routes.

Traffic arrangement for New Year's

From 17.00 on 31 December 2018 and up to no more requirements on 1 January 2019:

  • established the prohibition of vehicular transit, except for emergency, rescue and law enforcement vehicles: in the carriageways of Piazza del Plebiscito in front of the Prefecture and the Commiliter; in via Vittorio Emanuele III and via S. Carlo, from the intersection of the branch for the left turn coming from piazza Municipio to that of piazza Trieste e Trento; in via Solitaria, piazzetta Salazar, Rampe Paggeria; in via Cesario Console; piazza Santa Maria Degli Angeli, via G. Serra, piazza Carolina, via Monte di Dio, via Chiaia; in via Ammiraglio Ferdinando Acton in the section between the entrance / exit of the Galleria della Vittoria and via Nazario Sauro; in via Santa Lucia in the stretch that leads from via Chiatamone to via Partenope; in via Alessandro Dumas father; in via Orsini in the stretch that leads to via Partenope; in Borgo Marinari; in via Nazario Sauro from the confluence with via Lucilio; in via Nardones from the confluence with piazza Trieste and Trento.
  • si suspend: taxi parking in via San Carlo, via Santa Lucia at the confluence with via Partenope and piazza Carolina; the track and the cycle paths in the sections affected by the events
  • established: thevehicle obligation circulating in via De Cesare to turn left at the intersection of via Toledo; the one-way traffic in via Toledo from the intersection of via De Cesare to that of via Santa Brigida; the obligation of vehicles circulating in piazza Carolina to turn left at the intersection of via Chiaia; the ban on parking with forced removal in via Cesario Console, from piazza Plebiscito and up to via Santa Lucia.
