Naples celebrates the great Eduardo De Filippo and his fascinating figure as actor, director, screenwriter and refined intellectual who still represents today, 30 years after his death, one of the unforgettable symbols of our city.
Edwardian it is the cycle of meetings, shows and conferences that from the September 6 and for two months, until the end of October 2014, will be set up in different Neapolitan places to remember Eduardo, one of the great protagonists of the culture of the twentieth century and a point of reference in the world of theater for over 50 years. The initiative is organized by the city of Naples and by Universal Forum of Cultures and edited by the Edwardian Celebrations Committee.

The meetings, which will have speakers as authoritative scholars of theater and dramaturgy Italian and not only, will promote an analysis on the declension of an ancient experience of the European theater and its relationship with the theater of the twentieth century, where the Edwardian theatrical work becomes crossroads of family and company relationships, imagination and waiting horizon of those who shared the fate of the enterprise of the master of the company.
