Elio Germano and Teho Teardo bring to the Bellini Theater in Naples an unprecedented musical journey in Céline's masterpiece "Journey to the end of the night"
Al Bellini Theater of Naples will be held, in the only representation of 30 January 2017, the show "Journey at the end of the night" directed and interpreted by the famous actor Elio Germano together with the musician and composer Teho Teardo.
It is a musical journey in the literary masterpiece of Louis Ferdinand Céline, an original and renewed version both in the lyrics and thanks to the sounds of strings, guitar and live electronics performed by Teardo.
This new reworking of Céline's work will have an unpublished score in which the interpretative ability of Elio Germano will be combined, which will be expressed through sound and verbal events where the voice comes out of its traditional dimension until it becomes sound, and the incredible skill of Teho Teardo to create a sound environment in which Germano's voice suggests us new perspectives on Bardamu's misadventures, protagonist of the drama, and the horrors of the world war that overwhelms the relations between men and the continents.
Germano and Teardo, on a stage immersed in the dark and with a non-existent setting, bring on stage the essential spirit of "Journey at the end of the night" underlining its darkest and most gloomy aspect, which has its correspondence even in the current era and in a hypothetical technological future: pessimism about human nature, on institutions, on society and on life in general which will no longer give hope to humanity.
Travel at the end of the night is part of the review Synth, the review created by Villageblues in collaboration with Teatro Bellini e Babel which promotes digital arts, electronic music and research.
