Enzo Avitabile in concert on the Gran Cono del Vesuvio and in Pomigliano
At the 2016 Pomigliano Jazz Festival Enzo Avitabile will perform on the Gran Cono del Vesuvio and at the Parco delle Acque!
Due to bad weather the concert on the Grand Cono of Vesuvius was postponed to the September 14, in the same manner. Tickets remain valid for the new date!

Il Pomigliano Jazz 2016 gave white card to Enzo Avitabile, the singer-songwriter from the Marianella neighborhood considered the symbolic musician of Naples in the world and master of groove. During his career he has duetted with international stars such as James Brown, Tina Turner, Bob Geldof and Randy Crawford and Italian artists including Franco Battiato, Edoardo Bennato, Pino Daniele, Giorgia, i 99 posse, Rocco Hunt and Francesco De Gregori.
The artist was able to choose in perfect autonomy how to stage two concerts at Pomigliano Jazz Festival, using at his pleasure various musical languages from jazz to world music, from soul to Neapolitan tradition, from improvisation to ambient music.
Concert on the Grand Cone of Vesuvius
The first concert, the most important, will be held il 10 14 September 2016 on Gran Cone of Vesuvius at 1200 meters in height. Accompanying the Neapolitan composer will be the bassist Rino Zurzolo, the Pakistani Ashraf Sharif Khan at the sitar and the guitarist Gianluigi Di Fenza.
For such a concert, theentry will be allowed only within 16.00 hours, for logistical reasons. Beyond this time it will not be allowed to go up. We recommend comfortable clothing, hiking shoes, sweatshirt and k-way. The climb will be done on foot with volcanological guides and is of medium difficulty.
Concert in Pomigliano d'Arco
The second concert will be held on 18 September 2016 at the Parco delle Acque of Pomigliano d'Arco. The event will see him duet with the Neapolitan Jazz Orchestra conducted by Mario Raja. In the lineup there will be the classics of the Neapolitan tradition and the compositions of Enzo Avitabile reinterpreted in a jazz key.
The entrance to the crater, for 10 September, is compulsory within 16.00 hours.
