Can Tuttocittà become art? The answer is yes and, to confirm it, is the multifaceted artist Giuseppe Antonello Leone le whose latest works are exhibited in theHistoric Apartment of Palazzo Reale, in an exhibition entitled Ghosts of Naples.

These are 33 drawings made by the Irpinia artist on the tables of the Tuttocittà of Naples, the information brochure on the individual cities of Italy which mainly contains the city streets. These works were performed in 2006 but never exhibited to the public, and now find a way to be known.

Inventive, imagination, fantasy, emerge from those pages of paper with streets drawn in white that, for once, are used as artistic material.

On them the artist sees and traces the profiles of the “ghosts” of his own childhood expressed through figures born from the stories of his mother and grandmother, from tales of the author, from the imagination and from the poetic interpretation of reality.

The exhibition is organized on the initiative of the Bellivergari Cultural Association which deals with the protection and conservation of the master's works, is supported by the Banco di Napoli Foundation and sponsored by the Municipality of Naples.
