Pinocchio, Alice, The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, are the "Fables of wisdom" that will be staged at the Botanical Garden until November 2013

The autumn season of the theatricalized fairy tales that will transform theBotanical Garden every week.end, from the September 14 to the 17 November 2013, in a real open-air stage. A suggestive, relaxing and fun setting for adults and children.

Fables of Wisdom, this is the title of the theatrical event organized, once again, byTeatrini Association, for the eighteenth edition of The Sensitive Scene, theater review for the younger generations, curated by Giovanna Facciolo's artistic director.

Eight shows will be represented atBotanical Garden every Saturday and Sunday until November, inspired by the masterpieces of children's literature and transformed into “itinerant” theatrical texts, which will take place in a natural and magical set, immersed in the wonders of the Neapolitan Botanical Garden.

Fables of Wisdom Botanical Garden

Some shows are the same as thespring edition but there are some surprising news, starting from the first staging planned by the title The fables of wisdom, from which the theatrical review takes its name. Another novelty provides for the representation of a double show: that of 10:30, which will take place on a stage behind the castle of the Orto; the second, at 11:00, will be an itinerant theatrical journey in the various spaces of the Garden.

The people of the forest

Strange characters inspired by the world of fairy tales and popular legends of the woods populate the park, ready to tell children the stories and secrets of the Botanical Garden. A "parallel world" that lives even in the few green spaces of our city.

The tree of the sun

The Botanical Garden will be transformed into the Tree of the Sun, told by Andersen in his fable The Philosopher's Stone. All the characters of his stories will relive, helping the children to find the true fairy tale… Show created on the occasion of the bicentenary of Andersen's birth.

5 and 6 October 2013
Like Alice (from Lewis Carroll)

One of the most loved fairy tales by children will come to life in the Botanical Garden under the eyes of the little spectators. All the senseless and surreal characters of Alice in Wonderland, as if by magic, will jump out of trees and bushes, leading the children on a bizarre journey between fantasy and reality.

In the kingdom of Oz (from Lyman Frank Baum)

After a hurricane, a small house fell right in the Botanical Garden which will thus turn into the magical Kingdom of Oz, crushing the terrible Witch of the East. The Gingillini, locals, thank Dorothy, the heroine who saved them ... But Dorothy is a child who just wants to go home and to do so she has to go to the Wizard of Oz. On her journey she will be accompanied by the famous and strange characters from Baum's novel who all have something to ask the Magician ...
