The 2015 Carmine Festival in Naples includes the usual fire of the church bell tower!
On the occasion of the celebration of the BV Maria del Monte Carmelo, in honor of the Madonna Bruna, in the city of Naples will take place, starting from the 7 July 2015, numerous events especially liturgical.
The Carmine festival has ancient origins, dating back to the seventeenth century. The festivities lasted for days and ended with the traditional and spectacular bell tower fire. The recurrence, over the centuries, became increasingly important and the participation of people grew dramatically.
In the second half of the '900, the party took on a grandiose character, to such an extent that the illuminations extended to the historical Porta Capuana. The celebration of the party was characterized by the famous festival of the song and the inevitable fire of the bell tower, accompanied by the spectacle of the fireworks to love.
The expenses for the celebration were offered by the devotees and each one gave his contribution according to his own economic availability. Even today, the expression is used as an invocation "Mamma d'o Carmene", to indicate the close, almost sanguine link with the Madonna Bruna.

- From 7,30 am to 13,00 pm: only during the interval between the celebrations of the Holy Masses, it is possible to go up to the Icon of the Madonna.
- Holy Masses: 7.00 - 8.00 - 9.00 - 10.00 - 11.00 - 12.00
- 17.30 pm: Mass of Vespertina.
- 19.00 hours: Song of the First Vespers, presided by the MRP Alfredo Maria Di Cerbo, Commissioner General of the Carmelites.
- 22.00 Hours Prayer Vigil Mariana
- From noon of July 15 to the evening of 16, at the Sanctuary, the gift of the plenary indulgence can be accepted, under the usual conditions: Confession, Communion and prayer according to the Pope's intention. On July 16 in the cloister of the convent there will be priests for the celebration of the Sacrament of Penance.
