The special appointment with the Feast of the wild boar of Dugenta, a municipality in the province of Benevento. The festival will take place from 2 June to 16 July 2023 every weekend, from Friday to Sunday.
It is a traditional festival which has been taking place in the Municipality of Dugenta for more than forty years and which every year welcomes many guests, including citizens and visitors. The party is organized by DiCaprio family that with so much sacrifice and commitment has been carrying on this tradition since 1980.
What you will find at the Boar Festival
At the party area in Via Fossi in Dugenta you can taste all the dishes, obviously based on wild boar, that will be offered to you. The various specialties will be served in earthenware dishes and will be accompanied by the excellent local wine.
Among the various dishes there will be Pappardelle with wild boar ragout, the wild boar porchetta, the beans with pork rind and wild boar sausage, ravioli with wild boar sauce, Strozzapreti, brazier.
The kitchens will open every evening starting at 19:00, while on Sundays there will be the possibility to have lunch from 12:00 with a pan and free jug to all participants.
Obviously not only food, but also a lot of fun for both adults and children, for which there will be a large dedicated play area.
