At the Festa del Mandarino dei Campi Flegrei this tasty fruit will be celebrated with events, meetings, tastings and exhibitions.
In January 2017 will continue the itinerant appointments of the Mandarin Festival of the Phlegraean Fields.
The program of the event includes various exhibitions and tastings of local products, photographic exhibitions, meetings and workshops with experts. Also thanks to the initiative We taste Mandarin, bars, ice cream parlors, pastry shops and participating restaurants, will introduce tasty mandarin recipes in their usual menus at a special price.
Those who purchase one or more courses, expressing their opinion on the tasting, will be able to participate in the assignment of gifts offered by the sponsors. The bartenders, chefs and pastry chefs who will win more preferences, will participate in a race in February at the Hotel-Restaurant Gli Dei in Pozzuoli.
The event is organized by the Immagine del Mito association with the aim of promoting the excellent agricultural products of the Phlegraean Fields.
We remind you that the mandarin is a winter fruit typical of the Phlegraean volcanic territory, whose nutritional and organoleptic properties are really beneficial. This juicy and sweet citrus fruit with an intense aroma is in fact a source of vitamins and antioxidants, as well as a panacea to help diuresis, intestines and regulate blood pressure.
