Typical products, educational activities, games, music and competitions at the 2017 onion festival in Alife!
From 31 August to 3 September 2017 will take place in Alife, in the province of Caserta, the Onion Feast.
The event, conceived by the Gustumas Association, aims to promote the typical products of the territory of the Matese Regional Park organizing interesting tasting, educational and artistic events.
During the evenings, in-depth gastronomic excellences are planned through Laboratori del Gusto and al Laboratory of 'nzerte. In addition, you can buy organic products at 0 km at the Mercato dell'Ortolano.
Space for fun with thematic games, with surprising ones "Onion Olympics" , "Onion Hunt". The Meeting of vintage cars and motorcycles (Club Antichi Sanniti); the exhibition of the "Allium Cepa" Exhibition / Competition, whose proceeds will be donated to Amatrice's earthquake victims and various competitions such as the "Cipolla alifana on the catwalk" Competition that will award the 'Biggest Onion', the 'Smaller Onion' and the 'nzerta longer'.
Finally, suggestions will be organized guided tours at night to the archaeological sites of the ancient Roman colony and shows.
