At Alife there is a new edition of the Festa della Cipolla with a rich program of tastings and fun!
Another gastronomic event revives the Campania summer: it is the Festa della Cipolla, at Alife from 2 to 4 September 2016. Three days of gastronomic, educational and artistic activities organized by the Gustumas Association in collaboration with other institutions in the area.
The purpose is to promote them specialties of the Matese Regional Park and in particular the culture of the alifana onion, an excellence of the Upper Casertano. Among the typical products offered there will also be waxed beans and extra virgin olive oil "Hills of Matese".
The program of the festival is full of entertainment, tastings and popular tradition. The little ones will have fun with the imaginative onion hunting, while adults will have the opportunity to buy zero km organic products. Competitions will also be held for producers of the alipanian onion. Among the artists who will perform are the Black Cadillac Blues and Antonio Fiorillo of Benvenuti al Sud.
