To celebrate its tenth edition, the 2015 Tammorra Festival will take place in itinerant version throughout Campania
The 2015 Festival of Tammorra returns this year to celebrate its first ten years, and will do so in traveling version, touching seven towns in Campania.
The event, organized byAssociation Active Carinaro and whose artistic direction is curated by Marcello Colasurdo, has returned in vogue among the most widespread popular traditions especially in the south, where there is a large turnout of participants.
The musical protagonist of the event is the tammorra, an ancient percussion instrument, which with its pressing rhythm will accompany lexecution of folk songs and dances. The festival is an opportunity to recover a centuries-old popular tradition and make it known and appreciated also by the new generations, who often underestimate its importance. These forms of art, on the other hand, belong to our regional culture and pass on a rich heritage to posterity.
During the evenings, of which the first was already held the 12 April at Villa di Briano, will be performed lovers and admirers of the party involving all present, usually always numerous. Furthermore, they will be stand set up where to buy gadgets of various kinds.
