The Night of Tammorra 2016 for Ferragosto in Naples with dances and folk songs

Mid-August in Naples with the sounds and popular dances of La Notte della Tammorra 2016!

The August 15 2016, as part of the events of Summer 2016 in Naples, at the Round Diaz, Will host the Night of Tammorra, the festival of music and popular culture curated and organized by the composer Carlo Faiello in collaboration with the Municipality.

A large group party to spend happy holidays in a special place for music and dances, where traditions and innovations will meet.

The participating artists, coming from different areas of Campania, will play the famous tammorra, the frame-lined drum with animal skin, with its pressing and involving rhythm, accompanied by the spectacular choreography of the dancers.

An original occasion to spend the festive evening and for promote an ancient musical culture which had almost gone into oblivion, despite representing an important historical and territorial musical memory.
