The Festival of Tammorra in Somma Vesuviana is not only music but also craftsmanship and gastronomy!
THEXI edition of the Tammorra Festival It will take place the 2 and the 3 July 2016 in Somma Vesuviana. An event awaited by all those who love popular music, that of the tradition of our city. Starting from 19: 00 will be there tammurriate, tarantella e pizziche with free performance, in a lively voice, without amplifiers.
The event, however, is not only dedicated to music but also to gastronomy and crafts, so you will find numerous stands where you can taste the typical local products or buy the artifacts of the artisan shops.
The purpose of the organizers of the event is to always keep alive the memory of the culture of the Tammurriata through the sound of the tammorra, an ancient percussion instrument similar to a drum, which was used for folk dances and songs. To do this they tried to recreate the same atmosphere that you breathe during the popular festivals dedicated to the 7 Madonne Campane.
Anyone wishing to perform can do it without any reservation, just jump into the crowd and have fun.
