Grape Harvest Festival in Montemarano with grape pressing, tastings and tarantella

Il 10 October 2021 there will be the Grape Harvest Festival in Montemarano, in the province of Avellino, at the Aminea Winery company, which has been involved in the production of wine for over a century.

In fact, since 1890 she has been a grape harvest expert and everything is family-run. Today two sisters manage the company, also offering this beautiful autumn initiative to anyone who wants to participate.

The pressing of the grapes with the feet: this is the program

The Harvest Festival is at first edition this year, but it could just be the beginning of a long adventure.

Here's the schedule:

• 10.00 hours: welcome guests with a welcome coffee. The peasant dressing begins to start the business. bandana, apron, gloves and scissors will be used;
• 10.30 hours: we will go to the vineyards to witness the harvest and participate in the first person. There will be the winemaker Immacolata Tortora
• 11.30 hours: you go back to the cellar to press the grapes with your feet in wooden vats with the background of the Tarantella Montemarese
• 12.30 hours: there will be a guided tour of the cellar and we will listen to how the winemaking process takes place. Tastings of the fermenting must will follow;
• 13.30 hours: lunch will begin with local and typical products at the Taverna di Santa Lucia in Castelvetere sul Calora;
• After lunch there will be the inevitable wine tasting between Aglianico di Avellino Docg 2020, Irpinia Aglianico 2019 and Irpinia Rosato 2020.
