Zeppola festival in Sant'Eustachio di Montoro with tasty fried donuts

two weekends, Sant'Eustachio di Montoro, in the province of Avellino, is back there Zeppola festival that for many editions allows us to taste these delicious fried treats prepared according to the Montorese tradition.

This tasty feast will take place in Park of the Sun on the weekend of 28 and 29 May and in the long one from 2 to 5 June 2022. In the first weekend the stands will be open only by will be, but in the next they will remain open from the morning to allow everyone to enjoy these delicacies as much as possible.

During the days of gastronomic feast there will also be Musical evenings with local bands that will perform live and there will be a playground for children that they can have fun.

How are Montoro zeppole prepared

The zeppole from the municipality of Sant'Eustachio di Montoro are prepared with a "soft" dough, similar to that of cream puffs, which is given the shape of a donut to fry. They can also be cooked baked, but the fried ones are definitely the most popular.

You can eat them classical, therefore without filling, or stuffed with Butter or with Nutella and at the Sagra they will be found in all variants.
