2013 young journalism festival

The second edition of the Festival of young journalism will focus on the precariousness of the sector and the category of women and young people

It will be its second edition, but promises to be an important reference point especially for the many young precarious journalists from the Campania region and southern Italy in general. Let's talk about the Festival of young journalism which will take place again at the Pan from 20 to 22 September 2013 at the Pan di Napoli, as part of September More.

The event, as declared by the organizers themselves, has the important objective of putting forward new proposals to revive employment in the media for the youngest: this is what Youth Press Italia, the national association of young journalists, will want to obtain during this second edition.

I am over 20 thousand young people i young journalists Italians and the festival will focus on their rights and their precarious work, relaunching above all the job and training opportunities present for them in Europe, with particular attention to the category of women and young people.

Important Italian and European journalists will participate as speakers start-upper, representatives of national and local institutions. In addition, the festival program will also be full of themed workshops, including those dedicated to radio journalism and social and institutional communication.

Youth Press Italia president Simone d'Antonio explained that

The Young Journalism Festival will launch a series of European-style proposals and initiatives, from the pilot application of the Youth Guarantee in the media to the G2 Young Journalists Network, which aim to animate the journalistic debate around ideas and visions that emerge from below, thanks to the constant comparison with the many realities that make up the young journalism of our country and, conversely, the future of the category in Italy. We intend to encourage the creation of new employment opportunities for young people, making the sector more open and European, inaugurating a frank and constructive dialogue with all national and local stakeholders, from the Order of Journalists to the Fieg and the government.
