The detailed program and ticket prices for the 2017 Orient Festival to be held at the Mostra D'Oltremare in Naples!

The Festival of the East will be held again this year in Naples from 15 to 17 September 2017 and from 22 to 24 September 2017 both at Mostra D'Oltremare.

Backed by years of success, the Festival will present its program keeping unchanged the events that have made it famous and introducing news, like the preparation of a tBuddhist impious of Sri Lanka, reproduction of the Great Wall of China and, for the gastronomic part, there will also be a vegan restaurant.

The program is a lot full of events and certainly will be able to satisfy all tastes: from shows, to the gastronomic part up to the ceremonies and photographic exhibitions.

Let's see it in detail.

Program of the Festival of the East

The program of the East Festival unfolds on more locations and more hours. We report in this article most of the events, but for a more general view we bring you the official page in the mirror at the end of the article.

The detailed program of the shows is not present on the site, but will be posted every day near the stage and the performances will be repeated daily by 10: 30 23 to: 00.

One of the highlights of the Festival D'Oriente is the variety of the shows offered that embrace traditions from all over Asia. In the various days they will perform groups of traditional dances from Mongolia, Korea and Egypt, you can attend the uighur dance also called the bowls typical of central and southern China, alle Chinese dances brought by the China Pearl group that will propose the characteristic dances of their country, from the classical and traditional ones to the contemporary ones and of modern contamination.

Can not miss the famous punjabi dances by the extraordinary group of dancers "D4Dance", the Belly dance and the innovative oriental tango, the union between the Middle Eastern dance and the classic Argentine tango.

Not just typical dances, but also folk sounds like those proposed by the Khukh Mongol group, by the group of Italo-Japanese artists, daii Daiko Mune that they are dedicated to practice of the Japanese traditional drum. There will also be Taiko or traditional Chinese music with erhu concerts, the Chinese violin or Guzheng, a curious stringed instrument played horizontally or still the best known Gong.

The festival will also land at the festival Chinese face changing, arctic theater art from the Sichuan theater in which the actor, to show the audience the various moods of the character, replaces one by one the face masks with rapid movements. There Chinese kung fu teainstead, it will be proposed by the master Jin Gang Xiaoshi who will perform with the help of the classic long-mouthed teapot.

They come back contortionist performances, Chinese paper cutting art, Japanese kimono dressing arts and Bushido. Finally, return the mandala construction by the monks of the Samten Choeling Monastery of Varanasi.

Ceremonies

Inside the Festival of the East will be presented traditional ceremonies such as the Japanese tea ceremony, which requires years of practice in order to perform at best all movements, or the dressing of the kimono which is rigidly codified because traditionally the typical women's suit consists of at least twelve separate parts to wear, to unite and to fix according to precise rules.

Within the Japanese culture will be shown the techniques forikebana, the art of the arrangement of cut flowers and the ancient arts of the Bonsai and Suisekior compositions with potted trees in the first case and water and stone in the second. They can not miss the performance of origami, the art of folding paper, and of Sumi-e which are painted with black ink in gradations ranging from pure black to all the nuances that can be obtained by diluting it with water and which will be presented by the Zen monk Beppe Mokuza Signoritti.

They will also be shown Tibetan and Japanese calligraphic arts, painting on the fabric and also the haiku acting, poems of three verses characterized by five, seven and even five syllables.

Bazaar of the East

During the festival days they will be set up stand with typical artisan and gastronomic products. Oriental scents and flavors will flood the entire structure and you can buy masks, books, scrolls, Tibetan bells, saris, kimonos, lacquers, Chinese boxes and much more. There will also be stands of vegan and organic products, herbal products, infusions, spices and tea.

Other cultural activities

In addition to performances and folklore, the festival will host many others cultural proposals including demonstrations of Tibetan, Mongolian and Arabic calligraphy, examples of Tibetan painting and a reconstruction of a Mongolian tent, called gher, which will allow visitors to get to know some of the traditions of the nomadic people.

Examples of examples will be presented bionatural disciplines as it is shatsu, fluidic osteopathy and rolfing and there will be booths dedicated to the various types of meditation from the chan, to guided meditation, to the vibrational meditation of the mantras.

Examples of. Will also be shown alternative therapies from bach flowers to the rebalancing of chakras and examples of Chinese astrology, chromotherapy and crystal therapy.

Massage

On the exhibition stands you can attend demonstrations or massage sessions of any kind: from the bars of access consciusness to traditional Thai massages, passing by shatsu until you get to 'ayurveida.

They will also be presented massage techniques and more recent relaxation like the Valbonesi hammock massage or massage with hot, cold stones and seven crystals.

Workshop

Visitors to the festival will be able to take part in the numerous proposed workshops ranging from different cultures. Workshops will be proposed onJapanese calligraphic art, Shido, on the craving of vegetables and fruit, On 'art of origami and on the Sumi-e, art of Japanese design that can be admired at the highest levels during the performances on the stage. There will be no lack of it Tibetan bells course that is, the techniques of harmonic sound massage and the reiki course.

Yoga

During the Festival visitors can discover and learn about the many yoga schools present on the stands. There will be traditional yoga schools like it Ratna yoga, Sat Nam Rasayan and Kundalini Yoga, prana and hata yoga, each with its own characteristics and paths. There will also be non-traditional yoga stands such asecoyoga, who wants to accompany the practitioner in a path of awareness based on the ecology of the organism, theacroyoga that comes from the combination of yoga, thai massage and acrobatics up to the yogic therapy and to aryurvetic massage.

Dining 

They can not miss the gastronomic experiences that will allow the visitor to try traditional dishes of distant cultures. At the East Festival you will find the already appreciated Japanese, Chinese, Indian and Thai food stands and from this year you can taste dishes from new restaurants from Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Tibet.

There will not be only ethnic proposals, but also nutrition vegetarian and vegan strictly with organic ingredients.

Holi Festival

The Holi Festival is one of the most popular attractions of the festival of the East and is a festival typical of Hindu spiritual and religious tradition, dedicated to colors and love, which is usually celebrated in spring as the season considered "of the return to life". Martial arts festival

The martial arts festival is part of the East festival bringing with it the noble tradition of oriental warriors with shows, exhibitions, internships and seminars and exhibition spaces.

They will be on show faithful reproductions of armor of the Japanese samurai and a selection of blades and katanas of prestige. In addition will be exhibited over 20 statues representing part of the legendary "Terracotta Army", Located in the funeral mausoleum of the first Chinese emperor Qin Shi Huang.

During the fair there will be seminars presented by masters from all over Italy who will range from the purest martial arts as well aikido, ju jitsu to personal defense techniques like the krav maga until'acroyoga.

Health and Wellness

The event "Health and Wellness: from East to West" is the part dedicated to wellness of the Festival of the East that embraces all the disciplines for the psychological well-being.

Visitors can experiment and discover for free a great variety of oriental disciplines, from Tai chi chuan to tantsu, from yoga at shiatsu. With regard to physical wellbeing, experts will be present acupressure, it will be possible to make some rolfing sessions and try all of them bionatural disciplines.

Also on display a great variety of alternative therapies such as homeopathy, herbal medicine, acupuncture, holistic medicine, chiropractic, naturopathy, aromatherapy, and many others.

Within the path there will be space for thenutrition, cosmetics and natural clothing that combine respect for the environment with effectiveness in cleansing or makeup.

Health and well-being is also suitable for children thanks to the stands dedicated to them with experiences and demonstrations suitable for their psychophysical well-being like yoga for children , child meditation.
