Francesco Taurisano Fixed Pan Museum

Francesco Taurisano's solo exhibition at the Pan museum in Naples from the 17 September to the 1 October 2013

Can we influence our lives and the reality around us? Does destiny exist or do we have the possibility to modify our path with our actions?

To answer these age-old questions the personal exhibition of the Neapolitan artist Francesco Taurisano, which will be set up at Palace of the Arts of Naples (Pan Museum) 17 from September to October 1 2013

Francesco Taurisano is a young multifaceted artist, who attends the course of new technologies of art at the Academy of Fine Arts and who, during his career, has met and followed the Neapolitan artist Gianni Pisani in his atelier.

In his works Taurisano mixes artistic codes and different media, creating a very personal autonomous language that is inspired by the themes that characterize today's society, expressed with the most diverse means. The peculiarity of his images is the extreme sharpness.

Fixed Francesco Taurisano

Fixed - Freedom and constraints in the postmodern era, is the artist's personal exhibition curated by Sveva D'Antonio, which will be hosted in the halls of the Pan in Naples. 6 large lenticular photo panels with flip effect destabilize and lead the viewer to the bitter reflection that the reality that surrounds us is much more complex than we think, to the point of undermining our conviction of having some power over it, almost as if it were "fixed" and permanent.

It is no coincidence that the term chosen as the title of the exhibition is "Fixed", which in English has two meanings: something precisely determined, defined by a specific cause and a fixed, predetermined destiny. Through his works, the artist suggests to us the question of how much freedom of choice and free will we really have in our life and how much, on the contrary, is predestined and "fixed". There are two reactions that man has in front of this "scenario": surrender and accept destiny, or develop a desire to escape from what cannot be changed.

Along the exhibition path you can admire gods moving tableaux vivant, which will lead us to reflect on the ambiguities and uncertainties of the moment and of being in itself.

Il preview of the exhibition will be held on 17 September at 18: 30.
