In Fuorigrotta the largest eco-mural in the South: it will absorb pollution

With great honor Napoli it hosts the largest mural in Southern Italy. In reality it is not a simple painting, but a eco-murals, in fact it has potential technological patented very interesting to reduce air pollution. Wanted by the Italian B-Corp and Yourban2030, made by the famous street artist Zed1.

The work is part of a wider communication campaign, in fact the mural is only one of the pieces, which takes the name of #UnlockTheChange which is in charge of promoting the art as a means of change positive and as a means to move towards more sustainable socio-economic choices.

Where is the sustainable Murales

The work of Zed1 was recently completed and is located in the district of Fuorigrotta of Naples. Precisely near the famous school of the area "Silius Italicus". Proximity to a school was chosen, precisely to send this message to the young people of today who will be the adults of tomorrow.

Easily recognizable due to its size (370sqm). It is no coincidence that this sustainable mural is located in an area located nearby Bagnoli: a neighborhood that for years has been trying to redevelop itself from an environmental point of view after having undergone the damage from industrial pollution of the twentieth century, but which nevertheless has never achieved a real reclamation.

What the work represents

The artist, through this gigantic work, represents one Favola. It is a fairy tale conceived by the same street artist who has a metaphorical meaning which invites us to build a new world. The mural depicts a stylized girl who lives in a dark and polluted moment, but who invites us into a new dimension: colorful, sustainable, livable.

An anti-smog technology

As already mentioned, it is not simply an artistic work, but an eco-mural. The paints used have one tech which serves contain local pollution. We are talking about one patented technology capable of effectively eliminating air pollution (NOx): it will absorb the smog of around 79 vehicles every day.
